I am your Creator. You were in my care even before you were born –Isaiah 44:2a
It’s not an accident or a chance by nature that you are alive now. It’s not even an accident that you are reading this post right now. For a lot of you, this might seem crazy and you may not agree. It took me a while for me to fully grasp this, and it still is at times hard to believe this. But God has a plan for you and has orchestrated every moment of your life. In Psalm 139:16, the psalmist says, “You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” How crazy, but awesome is this? Our personalities, desires and all our attributes were designed by God, “For we are his workmanship” (Eph 2:10). As it is described in Acts 17: 26-27, God determined when/where you were born. God determined what circumstances you would face in life and who you would be associated with. God did this in mind so that you would, “seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him” (Acts 17:27). Therefore, I believe there is reason you happen to know me or that you stumbled upon this blog.
For those of you who read my slice of life, especially if you are not Christian, you may be a little shocked and possibly skeptical about what you read. There was a lot in there, and to be honest I can’t believe I actually got the nerves to do that. I fully heartedly believe though with Francis Chan in his book, Crazy Love, that, “Having faith often means doing what others see as crazy. Something is wrong when our lives make sense to unbelievers.”
So if you think I’m crazy for doing all of this, I am perfectly fine with that. I don’t want to scare you off though, and I sincerely hope that you will continue with me on this journey. So thank you if are reading this and still want to follow along.
I’m guessing that some of you may have some lingering questions about my faith and how I came to understand God. The next few posts will be dedicated to exploring the attributes of God, an explanation of the Gospel and what it means to place your faith Jesus. My goal is not to be pushy or shove anything down your throats, I just want to share with you the joy and fulfilment that God can bring to your lives that has changed my life forever.
